| Miriam Moyer is licensed as a wildlife
rehabilitator by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and
the US Fish & Wildlife Service to care for birds
other than raptors. She accepts all native songbirds,
swifts, swallows, woodpeckers and mourning doves. She
has worked with wildlife since 1988 and has been licensed
since 2005. She continues to develop both knowledge
and skills through education, seminars, and professional
organizations, and is a member of NWRA, IWRC, PAWR,
and NYSWRC. In addition, she works closely with veterinarians
in order to provide quality care for these highly stressed
patients.
White Flicker Wild Bird Rehabilitation Clinic is
part of the rehabilitator’s home. The inside
facility is comprised of two rooms dedicated to the
care of birds. The outside facility includes six flight
cages for pre-release conditioning.
White Flicker is staffed entirely by unpaid professionals
and volunteers.
